This Kathmandu City Tour consists of your visit to seven out of seven UNESCO World Heritage sites and a mesmerizing sunrise view from the hilltop of Nagarkot. Your Cultural wonders of Kathmandu tour starts with a visit to Kathmandu City (City of Temples), Self-Existent Stupa of Swoyambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), and Patan City (City of Fine arts).

Further, you will explore Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most important Hindu temples, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Continue to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the world’s largest Stupa. This 5th-century Stupa is considered to be originated on its own. Then we will head to the City of Devotes, Bhaktapur. This ancient civilization of Bhaktapur is eminent for its architectural masterpiece, spiritual values, and ancient arts and crafts.

Drive to the hill station of Nagarkot. This hill station is the best spot for a panorama of vibrant hills and majestic mountain views. From Nagarkot, we head to the oldest temple of Nepal, Changunarayan Temple. This sacred site dating back to 464 C.E. is a two-story pagoda-style Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Continue your tour to the twin city of Bungmati and Khokana. This ancient Newari city is famous for its wood carving, sculptures, and arts.

Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, meet our office representative and be transferred to the hotel. You will have a complete pre-trip meeting. The rest of the day is free on my own. Overnight at a Hotel in Kathmandu.

After breakfast commences the exciting sightseeing tour of culturally rich Kathmandu City. We will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swoyambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), and Patan City (City of Fine arts). Overnight at a Hotel in Kathmandu.

After breakfast, we commence a full-day guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu city consisting of Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and Bhaktapur City. Late noon we will drive to Nagarkot hill-top situated at an altitude of 2100 meters for an enchanting sunset and sunrise view over Himalayan peaks. Overnight stay at a resort in Nagarkot.

Morning, enjoy the sunrise view from Nagarkot. In the clear weather, you can behold the whole range of the major mountains like Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Jugal, Rolwaling, Everest, and Number. Later after breakfast start your sightseeing tour by visiting the oldest Temple in Nepal, Changunarayan Temple. This temple is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site in 1979.
From Changunarayan continue your drive to the ancient twin village of Bhungmati and Khokana. This Newari village is rich in its culture, sculpture, and woodcarving. Evening a traditional Nepalese style dinner with Nepalese cuisine and cultural show. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.

Your trip ends. After breakfast, you will be transferred to International Airport to board your flight to your next destination.

What is new Covid-19 policy for travelling to Nepal?

Nepal is fully open without any restrictions. Nepal Government has issued a new advisory regarding travel restrictions on 01 March 2022 rescinding all previously issued restrictions. No need for quarantine to enter Nepal. The following criteria should have to be followed while traveling to Nepal:
1) Travelers must show documents regarding the last dose of the Covid-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior to Nepal’s arrival. If you are not vaccinated or partially vaccinated, you must bring a negative PCR/RT result, checked not more than 72 hours prior to your arrival.
2) The government of Nepal has removed the compulsion of PCR tests while traveling to Nepal, however, re-confirm with any other country you enter for transit.
3) You need a Covid-19 Crisis Management Coordination (CCMC) generated QR Code. You can either print the bar code or take a screenshot, and keep it safe while traveling to Nepal.

Is Nepal safe to travel to?

Nepal is in fact one of the safest places to travel to. The crime rate especially related to foreign visitors is very few.
The main risk appears with your dietary requirements. Please take advice from your physician before traveling if you have certain health conditions. Most of the hotels and resort serves proper drinking water and food. Bottled water can be found easily in all cities. In the trekking trial, you can find boiled water (sometimes at extra cost) at shops and teahouse lodges. Don’t forget to bring/ or buy water purification tablets.
